Diagnostics
Diagnosis of hyperhidrosis is based on correctly assembled history collected during an examination by a doctor. This is done to exclude other organic reasons for the excessive sweating. Such other causes for excessive sweating include thyroid imbalance, diabetes, acromegaly, tumors of the adrenal glands, and others. It is necessary for the patient to accurately describe their symptoms for correct diagnosis. A graphic technique of diagnosis is used to prepare the patient before the use of Botox. In the case of surgical correction of sweating, the patient is monitored not only post-operatively, but followed for three years after the corrective surgery, with the use of Doppler imaging (Protocol POSZS).
